Icon. There are few people in the world who need but one word to encapsulate them. In reference not only to her incredible career and legendary status in pop culture, but to her incredible life. She was born in Brussels and lived through Nazi Occupied Holland during world war two where she was part of the resistance. She worked as a nurse for Allied soldiers, and raised funds for the Dutch Underground by putting on ballet performances and even became a courier, delivering messages for the Anti-Nazi resistance. “Not just a pretty face” couldn’t be more accurate a phrase!

Best known for her portrayal of Holly Golightly, the fabulous lead of Breakfast at Tiffany’s, this glamourous, sophisticated and complex character gave the world a timeless image of Hepburn which has stood the test of time. Its practically impossible to think of her without one of her famous lines from the film echoing around your head
“You disapprove of me… and I do not accept drinks from disapproving gentlemen”
or indeed thinking of her rendition of Moon River.
